Boréal Tordu opened the festival. They are Farmington and Portland natives.

Sylvanne Pontin and Roger Hallée, Waterville natives, showed up to make sure everyone was behaving. Sylvanne is the leader of a group called les Bavards which meets to speak French every Saturday at Jorgensen's in Waterville.
